Ask your MP to support theatre and the arts

A damning report by the National Audit Office has confirmed that as many as 2.9 million people are not eligible for the government’s coronavirus financial support schemes, including tens of thousands in the creative industries.

This has not been rectified by the introduction of the Job Support Scheme or the recent changes to the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme.

Nor is the level of support for those who qualify for payments adequate to make up for the impact of their industries being unable to operate.
