On Friday 20 March the government unveiled an economic support package for workers affected by Covid-19 which offered to provide 80% income support to furloughed workers up to a maximum of £2,500 per month.
However this support package did not include a similar income support scheme for self-employed and freelance workers.
As a union representing thousands of these workers in creative sector and beyond, Bectu and parent union Prospect have been fighting for a fair deal for self-employed workers and freelancers.
We need your support.
Please enter your postcode below and use the ‘Email your MP’ tool to tell your MP that you support a new income support package that protects self-employed and freelance workers.
Together we can make sure no workers are left behind while we fight Coronavirus.
